About us

Children's folkloric ensemble Kytice exists since 1994 in Prague - Letnany as a continuator of adult's ensemble, that held the same name. Today the ensemble works with more than 40 children. The ensemble performs dances and songs from middle Bohemia, Chodsko and old Prague.

Artistic director of the ensemble Milena Pitterova selects and choreographically arranges folkloric sources to shows with different themes. Young musicians gain the relation to the folk music in the ensemble directed by Milena Kmentova - Pitterova, who prepares all the arrangements.

During its existence the ensemble performed many performances. Spring and Christmas concerts are becoming traditional. The ensemble regularly takes part in significant festivals in the Czech republic and presented our culture even abroad. Among the biggest successes it ranks the participation at Provincial parade of child's ensembles 2000.
